Kristian Bainey is a senior IT leader, author, educator and global speaker with more than 15 years of experience in artificial intelligence, digital transformation and project management across public, private and academic sectors.
He is the CEO of K-PIC Systems and serves as Chief AI Officer at PrecisionPro BioTech, where his work includes AI strategy, technology integration and applied innovation. He also lectures part time in postsecondary education on artificial intelligence, project management, information technology, data analytics, business intelligence, business analysis and related subjects.
Kristian is the author of AI Driven Project Management: Harnessing the Power of Artificial Intelligence and ChatGPT to Achieve Peak Productivity and Success, published by Wiley in 2024. He is also the author of the forthcoming eleventh edition of PMP Project Management Professional Exam Study Guide: 2026 Exam Update, aligned with the 2026 PMP Examination Content Outline and PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition.
His professional contributions include work on PMI's AI Essentials for Project Professionals guide, participation in PMI's first global generative AI course, and a chapter contribution to Green PMO: Leading the Sustainable Project Revolution.
Kristian served as President of the PMI Northern Alberta Chapter from 2023 to 2024. He has presented at more than 65 conferences, professional events, webinars and podcasts, including PMI's Projectified podcast and international AI and project management conferences.
