Deo Roopnarine
DATA ARCHITECT
I am a passionate in my field where I has over 12-years of experience as a Senior Data Architect & Solution Architect in both the private and public sector which includes working with enterprise EPR systems. The architectural use of enterprise EPR systems were in the business category of Finance (Oracle PeopleSoft) in the public sector and the Integrated Learning Environment (Banner-Oracle, Student Information Systems).
I have translated multiple organization vision and developed a data strategy to carry them forward that described how business areas and/or stakeholders will benefit from it; identifying key business and IT infrastructure systems on which to support, application critical reporting outputs, and a centralized data and analytics storage solution. To close the gaps, Deo created supporting solution and data architectural artifacts that aligned with the business vision to move from the current state to the future state. During his time at Athabasca University, Deo solution architected (logical & physical for Amazon Web Services technology stack) the University’s next generation data analytics and reporting platform (Data Lake) by ingesting data from EPR system (Banner-Oracle, Student Information Systems). Has developed solution architecture artifacts to move from the current sate to the future state by capturing key building components like, data information systems, data inputs, business capability function, output data reports, and consumers. Deo designed and implemented (data model and solution design) from logical, physical, to end-end development of their IT Financial Tracking System picking software implementation with budgets in mind. This all-in-one IT Financial Tracking System performed data integration as it supported other IT infrastructure by the ingestion of its application data (Oracle PeopleSoft), computed data logic, and output on-demand data for self-serve reporting and analytics.
